In the spring of 2019, the Illinois Association of Infant Mental Health Board of Directors authorized the West Suburban Charter Chapter. The West Suburban Charter Chapter was officially established in June of 2019 by a group of concerned Early Learning & Infant Mental Health professionals from across DuPage County to discuss areas of concern: to increase awareness about the field of practice/study of Infant & Early Childhood Mental Health.
Our overall goal is to bring awareness with the hopes of being a convener of Prenatal to Three professionals and to grow interest in the field. We believe the outcomes will be an increase in support for young children and families. We hope to provide an opportunity for ILAIMH members and other practitioners to connect and network while engaging in reflection and discussion about the work we do with infants and families.
