The Perigee Fund awarded ILAIMH along with seven other state Associations for Infant Mental Health
The Perigee Fund, located in Washington state, released a proposal to all Associations for Infant Mental Health in the United States at the end of 2018 to be part of a financial technical assistance project they would fund. ILAIMH submitted a proposal and we were chosen along with seven other states: Alaska, Michigan, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Washington and Wisconsin.
Perigee chose the Associations based on the diversity of business models, geographies, and partnerships they represent, and their ability to provide insights to the field as a whole. The eight associations, along with the Alliance for the Advancement of Infant Mental Health, ZERO TO THREE, and the Perigee Fund, will participate in the financial TA process.
Perigee will fund a financial technical assistance consultant to work with the group of Associations and will also fund travel for in-person meetings for two ILAIMH members. At this time, those members will be the President (Karen Freel and the President-elect (Jenna Kelly). The Associations along with the Alliance and Zero to Three interviewed two prospective consultants and as a group chose the Non-Profit Financial Fund to help us with the work.
The ILAIMH is tremendously excited for this opportunity. We look forward to learning from other Associations and sharing the lessons we have learned over the years. We will continue to have a spot on the Newsletter about this work as it progresses and also on our website – www.ilaimh.org.
